Lorie Cousineau

Meet lorie

Lorie Cousineau is a lifelong Minnesotan and 30 year resident of the West Metro. Throughout her career in law and working in public policy, she's has gained a strong background tackling tough issues including health care, education, transportation infrastructure, elections policy, and more. Lorie is ready to put this experience to work for you at the Capitol & get things done for the West Metro.


Lorie grew up in our Capitol city of Saint Paul, Minnesota and graduated from Johnson High School. She attended Bethel University and the University of Minnesota - Duluth, and earned her law degree from Hamline University with a J.D. and M.A in Public Administration. 


Lorie practiced law at a major health care company, and now works on public policy at the Minnesota Legislature. She also previously served on the Medina City Council, working to keep taxes low for residents of the community, eliminate wasteful government spending, and collaborate with other West Metro communities on a variety of issues. Lorie currently works for the House Republican Caucus as a Research Consultant. In her position she has been researching legislation and regulatory issues, summarizing bills, and analyzing the implications of policies being debated and passed at the state level. With this experience, Lorie is ready to hit the ground running on Day 1 as your State Representative next year in Saint Paul. 


Lorie and her husband Mike live in Wayzata, where Mike was born and raised. They have two adult daughters.
